Mireth House is a new international school and residence, built from the ground up for children with intellectual and developmental needs. We're in early development, and we want to build this with real families, not just for them.

Why Mireth House exists

Too many families raising a child with intellectual or developmental needs are told, quietly or directly, to lower their expectations. We think that's the wrong starting point.

Mireth House begins from a different premise: that every child's path looks different, rises at a different pace, in a different shape, and that a school built around genuine individual attention, not a single fixed curriculum, can hold space for all of it.

We're building both a school and a home, because for many of the families we hope to serve, especially those considering care from abroad, education alone was never going to be enough. A child needs somewhere safe to actually live, not just somewhere to be taught.

The Model

Two things, held together

A residential school is really two commitments in one. We're building both with equal seriousness, not treating one as an add-on to the other.

An Individualised Education

Every child's learning plan is built around them specifically, not a single fixed curriculum applied evenly across a class. Small groups, close attention, and progress measured against each child's own starting point.

A Genuine Residence

For students living with us, this is designed to be a real home: consistent care, dedicated house staff, and daily rhythms built around comfort and safety, not just supervision.

Individualised academic pacing, structured routines, and learning plans built around each child's own strengths and starting point.

Developmental Needs

Support for children whose developmental path looks different, with therapeutic and educational staff working from the same plan, together.

Families From Abroad

Built from the outset for international families, with guardianship, care, and communication designed around distance, not as an afterthought.

Where we are, honestly

Mireth House is still in its founding stage, and we're building it carefully, one deliberate step at a time, before we welcome our first students. We believe families deserve real transparency about where we stand along that journey.

We're sharing our vision now because we want to build this with input from families like yours, not announce it fully formed. Registering your interest doesn't commit you to anything, it helps us understand who we're building for.

A Note From Our Founder

I didn't arrive at this idea from a textbook. I arrived at it through the families around me, friends, relatives, people I love, who are raising children whose minds work differently than the world was built to expect.

The world looks different now. Neurodivergence isn't rare or hidden anymore, it's part of daily life for more families than ever, and yet so much of the care and support available still hasn't caught up. I've watched parents who are devoted and often stretched impossibly thin, either by lives that don't slow down or by seasons when they simply can't provide everything their child needs alone. That's not a failure. It's real life.

What those families need isn't just somewhere to leave a child. It's somewhere they can trust enough to leave them, knowing they'll be genuinely cared for, and genuinely given room to grow. Mireth House is built to be that place: a home where a child doesn't just get through the day, but actually flourishes in it.

This isn't a business idea to me. It's something I feel called to build, carefully, honestly, and with the families I hope to serve, not just for them.
